ELIGIBILITY
The “FARMVILLE 2: HOW WE MET CONTEST” (“Promotion”) is sponsored Zynga Inc. (“Zynga”). This Promotion is governed by these official rules (“Rules”). By participating in the Promotion, you agree to abide by these Rules, including all eligibility requirements, and understand that the results of the Promotion, as determined by Zynga and its agents, are final in all respects. The Promotion is subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law. This Promotion is open to legal residents of the United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older as of the entry date with a valid Zynga account in good standing. Void in U.S. military bases overseas and in Puerto Rico. Zynga employees, their immediate family members and persons living in the same household are not eligible.
This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. Any questions, comments or complaints regarding the promotion should be directed to Zynga, the sole sponsor of this promotion, not Facebook.
PROMOTION PERIOD
The promotion will run from 12:00 PM Pacific Time (“PT”) on February 24, 2015 to 11:59 PM PT on March 1, 2015 (the “Promotion Period”).
HOW TO ENTER
- You can enter the following way:
- Access the link: http://zynga.tm/s07v0 and submit your story about how you’ve met a friend, significant other, or just someone who became important to you through playing FarmVille 2 (web or mobile).
- By entering this Promotion, you agree to give Zynga a royalty-free, perpetual license to use your entry in any manner, without additional compensation. This may include, but is not limited to, re-tweeting the entries or posting entries on other social media sites. If Zynga uses your entry in any way, it does not mean you are considered a winner.
- There is a limit of one (1) entry per person per account. Duplicates will be void.
JUDGING AND NOTIFICATION
- Winner(s) will be chosen based on originality (33%), creativity (33%), and authenticity (34%).
- There will be a total of five (5) winners following the end of the Promotion Period. Within seven (7) days after the Promotion Period, five (5) winners will be decided from among all eligible entries submitted. Winners will be notified via email. The odds of winning depend upon the number of entries received.
PRIZE DETAILS
- Prizes are as detailed below:
- First prize: Ten (10) keys in FarmVille 2: Country Escape. Baby Portland Sheep and 25,000 in-game coins in FarmVille 2 web. Approximate Retail Value (“APR”): $55.30
- Second prize: Ten (10) keys in FarmVille 2: Country Escape. 50,000 in-game coins in FarmVille 2 web. APR: $101.30
- Third prize: Ten (10) keys in FarmVille 2: Country Escape. 35,000 in-game coins in FarmVille 2 web. APR: $76.30
- Fourth prize: Ten (10) keys in FarmVille 2: Country Escape. 20,000 in-game coins in FarmVille 2 web. APR: $41.30
- Fifth prize: Ten (10) keys in FarmVille 2: Country Escape. 15,000 in-game coins in FarmVille 2 web. APR: $26.30
- Total retail value of all prizes: $300.50
- To be eligible to win, entrants must have an account in good standing in either Farmville 2 or Farmville 2: Country Escape. To receive delivery of both the Farmville 2 and Farmville 2: Country Escape digital goods prizes, however, the winners must have accounts in both games and must have logged in to Farmville 2: Country Escape through Facebook (i.e., Facebook Connected) within thirty (30) days of being notified that he/she is a winner. If he/she does not have a game account in either game within that time period, the portion of the prize associated with that game will be forfeited. Similarly, if he/she has not logged in to his/her Farmville 2: Country Escape account through Facebook (i.e. Facebook Connected) within thirty (30) days of being notified, the Farmville 2: Country Escape portion of the prize will be forfeited.
- Zynga reserves the right to change the prize to one of equal or greater value, and may award the prize as a gift card, at its sole discretion.
- Prize winnings are a taxable event. All federal, state and local income taxes connected to the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner and winner may be issued a form 1099.
- All expenses or costs associated with acceptance of the prize not mentioned in these Rules are the responsibility of the winner.
- Zynga expressly disclaims any responsibility or liability for injury or loss to any person or property relating to the delivery and/or subsequent use of the prize awarded.
- Zynga makes no representation or warranties concerning the appearance, safety or performance of the prize awarded.
- The prize is non-transferable and is not redeemable for cash.
WINNER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Selected winners must respond within three (3) days of notice, with all information requested from Zynga contained in the notification from the time the notice is sent with contact information necessary for Zynga to deliver the prize and completion of any additional releases, which may include a Declaration of Compliance or an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability Release, where legal, a Publicity Release, Travel Release and IRS Form W-9. Failure to respond within the 72-hour period will indicate definitively that the prize has been declined and an alternative winner will be selected. In the event an initially selected winner is disqualified or unable to claim the prize for any reason, Zynga may, in its sole discretion, award the applicable prize to an alternate winner selected at random.
- Prizes will be delivered electronically to the players account.
PRIVACY AND USE OF USER-GENERATED CONTENT (UGC)
- By entering, except where prohibited by law, you are granting Zynga permission to announce your name, city, state, biographical material, likeness and entry content in any media in perpetuity for advertising and publicity purposes.
- Collection and use of a winner’s information is governed by Zynga’s Privacy Policy, which may be found here.
- This promotion, the use of any Zynga website, forum or game and Zynga’s use of any User Generated Content (UGC) is also governed by the Zynga Terms of Service, which may be located here.
- Zynga reserves the right to publish each winner’s first name and last initial.
ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
If the promotion is not capable of running as planned, Zynga reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion and select winners from among all otherwise eligible entries received prior to the cancellation. Persons found tampering with, attempting to “game” the sweepstakes, tampering with the sweepstakes in any way whatsoever to gain an unfair advantage, violating the fair play or spirit of the rules, or abusing any aspect of this promotion will be disqualified. Zynga reserves the right to correct any typographical, printing, computer programming or operator errors, including without limitation computer errors that erroneously award prizes.
INDEMNIFICATION AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
By entering the sweepstakes, you agree to indemnify, release and hold harmless Zynga Inc., Facebook, Inc., and their affiliates and subsidiary companies, including administrators, advertising and promotional agencies, attorneys, and all their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents (collectively “Released Parties”) from any liability, damages, losses or injury resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from that entrant’s participation in the promotion and the acceptance, use or misuse of any prize that may be won. Released Parties do not make any warranties, express or implied, as to the condition, fitness or merchantability of the prize. Released Parties disclaim any liability for damage to any computer system resulting from access to or the download of information or materials connected with the promotion.
DISPUTES
Except where prohibited by law, all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Rules, or rights and obligations of entrants and Zynga in connection with this Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the substantive laws of the State of California.
