FarmVille 2: Country Escape Green Thumb Games Guide

A new is event is here! Start the Green Thumb games and compete with friends around the world for awesome prizes, such as the exclusive Golden Retriever! 

If you are at least level 9, you will see a pop-up inviting you to the Green Thumb Games Event! You will probably have to force quit the game to see the update, which means to clear it from your mobile device's memory. You may need to reboot your device.  

 

You will have 14 days to complete the Green Thumb quests, and compete with friends for the top leaderboard position! The lucky ones at the top will earn an exclusive Golden Retriever (Gold Cup level), if you are in the middle position (Silver Cup level) you will earn 10 extra slots to your Barn, and if you are casually playing you can earn 3 Padlocks!  

**You will only be able to earn one of the rewards, not all three! The higher you get on the leaderboard will determine what reward you will receive on the last day of the event!**

 

The Green Thumb Games Trophy Stand will be located behind Eagle Eye Eddie. You will see 3 orders at a time that either can be harvested (crops), or crafted. Each item requested will have a different timer to allow you time to get the items needed.

Tip: Check the Farm Stand often to see if your friends are selling what you need.

 

Boosts:

On the lower right of the first tab of the Green Thumb Games (image above) is where you can easily access the Boosts available.  You can boost the amount of Green Thumb points by 50% for coins, or by 100% with keys. There will be a timer once a boost is activated and a short cool-down period when you can buy another boost. Boosts will last 1 hour, and you can only select one boost at a time. (prices subject to change based on level)

 

Leaderboard:

The second tab will show you the leaderboard that you are in. Not everyone you know will be in the same leaderboard. The leaderboard tab will tell you which prize category you are currently in (Gold, Sivler, or Bronze). You can also see how you rank among your friends. To be fair to all, you will be in a leaderboard with others that are similar level.  

 

Rewards:

You will see 3 different rewards that are broken into tiers. If you are in the top (gold) portion of your leaderboard on the final day of the event, you will be rewarded with the Golden Retriever. If you are in the middle tier (silver) at the end of the event, you will receive an extra 10 slots in your Barn. If you are in the lower tier (bronze), your reward will be 3 Padlocks.  You will only receive one of the rewards at the end, not all three.

Start off the quests by visiting the Green Thumb Games Trophy Stand located behind Eagle Eye Eddie's airplane. The Event HQ is where you earn Green Thumb points, and display the leaderboard. (Shown above)

There are 16 quests in this event. Tap on the Quest Manager on the lower left of your game to find quests. Unlike the past 2 events, this is not broken down into phases, as you will only receive one final reward at the end of the event (aside from quest rewards).

 New item needed and where to locate it:

• Spinach: Explore Grandma's Glad & Pappy's Pond, or tend your Prized Animals to find Spinach. Pappy's Pond will give you 3 Spinach. These are the only places to find Spinach during the event, unless friends are generously selling it in the Farm Stand.

**Tip: Crafted items that contain Spinach will be worth higher Green Thumb points! Make sure to have plenty of Spinach to help you move up on the leaderboard!

• Visit the Green Thumbs Trophy Stand (behind Eagle Eye Eddie)
• Complete 1 Green Thumb Games Order
• Have 10 Green Thumb Points

A Fresh Start (2 of 4)

• Use any Boost - Boosts can be found on the first tab of the Green Thumb Trophy Stand.
• Try selling an item while the boost is active
• Have 100 Green Thumb Points

A Fresh Start (3 of 4)

• Fill 3 orders worth at least 10 Event Points
• Harvest 6 tomatoes
• Make 2 Farmer's Soups 

A Fresh Start (4 of 4)

• Have 10 Flour
• Have 10 Sugar
• Have 6 Butter

Home Farm Advantage (1 of 4)

• Harvest 10 Wheat
• Harvest 10 Corn
• Make 8 Flour

Home Farm Advantage (2 of 4)

• Harvest 6 Carrots
• Harvest 6 Tomatoes
• Make 2 Carrot Cakes

Home Farm Advantage (3 of 4)

• Harvest 6 Strawberries
• Harvest 6 Peaches
• Make 3 Peach Yogurts

Home Farm Advantage (4 of 4)

• Have 3 Spinach (visit Grandma's Glad, Pappy's Pond or Prized Animals)
• Make 2 Green Smoothies (in Dairy)
• Make 2 Spinach Quiche (in Pastry Oven)

• Have 4 Apple Pies
• Make 2 Blackberry Pies
• Make 4 Spinach Quiches

Add Neighbors On Add Me Friday!

 

Every farmer could use a helping hand from time to time! Whether they're giving you extra water or just another plow, a great Neighbor can make all the difference when you're having a tough day on the farm.

On Fridays, FarmVille 2 invites you to participate in Add Me Friday. We know that there are Farmers out there looking for neighbors just as active as they are, and it's our goal to bring those Farmers together.

It's easy! Leave a comment with a link to your Facebook profile and a message to future Neighbors!

FarmVille 2: Country Escape How to Force Close the App

Howdy Farmers,

Depending on which Mobile Device you are using, Force Closing the App will clear the App from your device's memory. 

iOS Devices:

iOS 7:

• Force close your app by pressing the home button twice
• All open apps will be displayed. You can swipe to see each of them.
• Swipe FarmVille 2: Country Escape upward.

iOS 6 and lower:

• Force close your app by double tapping the "Home" button on your iOS device.
• The Multi-tasking bar should appear on the bottom of the screen.
• Hold down the game app in the multi-tasking bar until the app starts to shake.
• When the game app starts to shake, tap the "-" in the top left hand corner to force close the app.
• Go back to your iOS' main screen and tap FarmVille 2: Country Escape to reopen it.

Android:

• Force close by going to Settings - Applications - Manage Applications
• Locate FarmVille 2: Country Escape to Force Stop it
• Go back into FarmVille 2: Country Escape 

Kindle Fire:

• Force close by going to Settings (gear at top right)
• More - Applications
• Tap FarmVille 2: Country Escape to Force Stop it.
• Go back into FarmVille 2: Country Escape

Changes to My Family Farm!

Hi Farmers,

Last month we were very excited to add My Family Farm to FarmVille 2. Here on the team we are constantly assessing the game’s balance, so that we can keep it from becoming too easy or too frustrating.  We have realized that My Family Farm didn’t strike the right difficulty balance for many players.

We have also heard from players they they find the mechanics of Spouse Energy to be confusing and keeping track of Energy to be an overall distraction from the core farming experience players love so much. 

We work hard to bring FV2 players features that they will enjoy, and it’s become clear that we fell short of that goal this time. We’re committed to getting it right, and the team has already started working to improve My Family Farm.

Here are the adjustments you can expect to see us make in early September. These changes will simplify MFF and make it easier to understand and use:

• Job rewards will be increased by 150% – 200% 
• Sweethearts will have their Energy reduced to 1, which refills every 23 hours
• Meals will require more resources to make
• Players will receive a pack of Energy after successfully Training a new Job

As always, we are grateful to our players for being the vocal, supportive community that you are. We appreciate your feedback and we hope the changes we’ve described help keep FarmVille 2 and My Family Farm in your hearts for years to come.

FarmVille 2: Country Escape Crop Silo FAQ

What is the Crop Silo?

• The Crop Silo helps you store more crops and basic animal goods! You can Quick Sell those items from the Crop Silo, so that you will always receive coins for your goods. You need to be level 19 or higher to be able to see the Crop Silo in your game.

What can the Crop Silo store?

• The Crop Silo only stores crops and basic animal goods (milk etc). Crafted goods are stored in the Barn.

Can I choose how many items to sell from the Crop Silo?

• When you choose to sell an item from the Crop Silo, the entire stack in the Silo will be sold. Any extras in the Barn will not be sold.

Do I get XP from selling items in the Crop Silo?

• When you sell items in the Silo, you will receive coins. Selling items in the Silo will not give you XP or count towards the Order Board bonus meter

What happens when my Crop Silo is full?

• Once your Silo is full, any extra crops or basic animal goods will overfill into the Barn. You can also upgrade your Crop Silo to store more basic goods.

How do I upgrade the Crop Silo?

• You will need Barn Nails, Barn Padlocks, and Shovels to upgrade the Silo.

We released an update in the App Stores today. Please download the latest release for the new Crop Silo and more!

What's new in version 1.9.108 (iOS) 1.9.109(android/kindle):

• Say Hello to the Silo!
• Additional Storage: Unlock the new Crop Silo at Level 19 and store more fresh crops!
• (Coming Soon) Farm Orders Bonus: Complete orders on the Farm Orders board to earn great prizes from the Brand New Sales Bonus Meter! - This feature will be turned on soon.

 

Crop Silo:

When you reach level 19 you will be able to purchase (for coins) the brand new Crop Silo. It will give you 20 slots to store crops or basic animal items such as milk.  

 

 

Your Crop Silo will hold more than just crops! If you reach the maximum capacity of the Crop Silo items can spill over into the Barn. 

 

Similar to the Barn, you will be able to upgrade the Crop Silo to add additional storage. For upgrading you will need padlocks & nails, which are found by exploring Grandma's Glade, Pappy's Pond etc. As an added bonus, inside the Crop Silo you'll be able to quickly sell stacks of crops to help you earn coins and give you space. You can use Quick Sell 5 times a day.  

The beautiful Silo will fit in nicely on your Farm. 

Farm Order Board update: (NOT AVAILABLE YET)

Another new feature in the release is a bonus meter when selling items on the Farm Order Board. 

 

The more you sell, the more you fill up the meter. Fill up the bonus meter for a mystery crate!

 

Chose one crate that can contain Goods, XP, Coins or Keys! 

 

You can level up your Sales Bonus, the more you sell. Each level will give you more items that are possible
