The addition of My Family Farm is a complex change that affects many aspects of the game. To ensure that FarmVille 2 remains an enjoyable experience for all of our players, we will be slowly releasing this feature over time. The FarmVille 2 team has enhanced the behavior of your companion characters (aka: sweethearts)!
After My Family Farm launched on 7/3, we released a survey asking for the community's feedback. Thousands of you made it clear that the sweetheart was frustrating you instead of helping you, so we've made changes to fix that. Sweethearts should now be much more helpful, and much less in-the-way.
Thank you all for letting us know how we can make FarmVille 2 an even better game!
