The Pig Pen!
The Pig Pen has arrived in FarmVille 2! You can store your Prized Pigs in this home and feed them all with a single click! If that wasn’t enough, Prized Pigs in the Pen will only require half the amount of Feed & Speed-Feed, and will produce Chunks of Clay.
If you are level 10 or higher, you will see the following pop-up. Click on “Place Pig Pen” to get started.
Building the Pig Pen:
Your first step is collecting construction parts. You will need the following
items to start building your Pig Pen:
- Rich Mud
- Pig Chimes
- Pig Planks
To collect Rich Mud, click on the “Post” button to post to your Facebook wall – you will get the parts when your friends click on it, or when you click on a similar newsfeed post.
Click on the “Ask” button to send requests for Pig Chimes and Pig Planks to your Neighbors. If you do not wish to wait for your friends, you can skip any of these tasks for Farm Bucks.
Note: You can send a request for materials to your
Friends every 18 hours.
Once you have collected the required items, click on the “Start Building”
button at the bottom of the construction Menu.
Now that the Pig Pen is almost complete, you will need a little help from your Neighbors to finish the job. The Pig Pen requires four additional helpers, so click on the “Ask Friends” button to send some crew requests to your Friends. When they accept, you will see the spots in the Build Menu begin to fill. If you do not wish to wait for your friends, click the “Hire One” button to purchase crew members with Farm Bucks.
Using the Pig Pen:
Click on the Pig Pen to open the main menu.
Inside the Pig Pen, you will see placements that you can fill with Prized Pigs. Prized Pigs will take up one spot in your Pen regardless of breed (see below: Hampshire Pig).
Adding & Removing Pigs:
To add Prized Pigs in the Pen, check the “Auto Fill” box and click on the green “Add Prized Pigs” button. All of your Prized Pigs will automatically scoot into the Pen!
To remove a Prized Pig from the Pen, open the main menu and click on the red “–“ (minus symbol) box on the bottom left hand corner of the placement slot (see below: A).
The Pigs cards have symbols on them to indicate different things:
A. Minus Symbol: Remove Pigs
B. Feed: How much Feed the Pigs will consume
C. Truffles: How much the Pigs will produce (see below: Feeding)
D. Mastery: Animal Mastery Ribbons
Feeding:
Prized Pigs stored in the Pen will eat half of the amount of Feed they normally do. For example, a Pig that eats 8 Feed outside of the Pen will eat 4 Feed when inside the Pen. Note: Any Prized Pig that would normally eat an odd amount of feed outside of the Pig Pen will be rounded up by one. For example, a Pig that would normally eat 9 Feed will only need 5 Feed when stored in the Pig Pen. Prized Pigs in the Pen also only require one Speed-Feed for every two Prized Pigs.
Chunk of Clay:
Each time you harvest the Pig Pen you will find a Chunk of Clay, which can be used in exclusive Crafting Kiln Recipes. To learn more about the Crafting Kiln, view the official guide: Crafting Kiln. Chunks of Clay will linger on your farm similar to Prized Crops, so be on the lookout for them after feeding! Fill your Pig Pen all the way to get the most Chunks of Clay when you harvest!
Note: Clicking on the Chunk of Clay will automatically add it to your Inventory.
Additional Information:
- The timer for your Pig Pen will pause when placed in Storage, and then resume once placed back on your farm.
- If you do not wish to use the Pig Pen feature, it can be sold (frame only) or stored in your Inventory.
- If you want to see how much time you have left to harvest, hover your cursor over the Pen.
- You are limited to one Pig Pen per farm.
- Rotate the Pen to view a different angle!

Pig Showers!
Introducing, Pig Showers! Feed Pigs to unlock special Pig Areas that they can roll in to cool off, and then give them a clean rinse under the Pig Shower! Get all four Areas to unlock an exclusive Glass Gem Corn Crop Packet!

If you are level 10 or higher, you will see the following pop-up. Click on “Place Pig Shower” to get started.
Using the Pig Shower
The Pig Shower feature has four stages. Each stage requires a certain amount of Pig Feedings. When you feed your Pigs, they will fill your Pig bar. Once your bar is full, you can harvest the Pig Shower.
To see your bar, click on the Pig Shower to open the main menu. Your bar is located on the bottom of this screen. The number at the bottom of the bar indicates how many Pig Feedings you need and your current progress towards this goal.
As you complete each stage you will unlock a new Play Area. The stages and respecitve Play Areas are as follows:
- Stage 1: A Hay Play Area
- Stage 2: A Clover Play Area
- Stage 3: A Dandelion Play Area
- Stage 4: A Mushroom Play Area
Once you have fed enough Pigs, you will be able to harvest your Shower by clicking on it.
The more Pigs you have on the farm and the more Speed-Feed you use to feed them, the faster you fill your bar! In addition, feeding Prized Pigs counts twice!
If you do not want to wait to fill the Pig bar, you can use Farm Bucks to skip these steps and get the next Play Area right away!
Each of the four Pig Areas is moveable. Use the edit tool to get started:
Note: Play Areas can be used by all Animals and each Area has a different animation!
Glass Gem Corn Crop Packet:
Once you have earned all four of your Pig Areas, you can claim your Glass Gem Corn Crop Packet! The Glass Gem Corn is used in high value recipes in the Crafting Kitchen and Prized Glass Gem Corn are worth more points at the County Fair. Click the “Share and Go to Market” to purchase your first Packet for Coins.
Additional Information:
- You are limited to one Pig Shower per farm.
- You have 10 days to earn the five Pig Areas. If you do not collect them all, the Pig Areas will disappear and you will be unable to claim them.
- You can purchase additional Play Areas in the General Store for Farm Bucks.
- Feeding Horses, Cows, Sheep, Goats, and Chickens does not count towards the Pig Shower. Only feeding Pigs will count.
- If you want to see how much time you have left to claim your Areas, hover your cursor over the Shower.
